MBS Fuck Brexit & Festival Fever Tour 2017. Our story this season Pt.3

Still rollin off serious amounts of fun in Rome, Czech, Holland and Germany, we were gettin ready to hit a rave city like no other… BoomTown!

Boomtown Fair

August 2017 / Hampshire / UK

Now BoomTown is a festival we hold very dear to our hearts. It’s our rave family festival and along with all our crew we are very proud to see how far it has come. This year was a mega mighty muddy messy mashup for sure. We headlined the Poco Loco stage in the DownTown Barrio Loco district on the Thursday night.

Boomtown was very special and emotional for us this year as we dedicated our show to Josh Knotty our husband, brother and music producer who sadly passed away last year. We played out all of his banging productions to a crowd full of friends and family and even chucked out a hundred candles to be lit for him and the loved ones we have lost over the past few years.

It was the toughest show of the season for us, but we were helped along by the loving support of the packed out audience. Josh was definitely there in spirit to help us along. If you were there you will know how special it really was.

Massive thank you to everyone who came to support us and celebrate Josh’s life and music with us. RIP VIP JOSH KNOTTY 23 X Gone but neva forgotten <3

Love Summer

August 2017 / Devon / UK

Love Summer was our second festival of the weekend, so we left Boomtown site on Saturday afternoon (yea it was tough!) and drove with our tour manager Bally all the way to the south coast. Love Summer is a sick family festival with a warm and friendly atmosphere that couldn’t be faulted. We headlined the Bassfunk Casino late on Saturday night to a packed out crowd of glittered up ravers with massive smiles on their faces.

The only sleep Polly managed to get was an hours kip in the car… which aint enough if you’ve been up since Thursday! I woke up with a punch in the face and a shot of gin as we pulled up to Love Summer.

Thank God the crew were amazing and let us drive straight up to the backstage of the venue and sorted us out with some strong rum cocktails that we had just enough time to sink before jumping on stage!

Gängeviertel Geburtstagfest

August 2017 / Hamburg / Germany

Hamburg was the next stop. Gangeviertel is a massive old squat right in the middle of Hamburg. We were picked up at the airport and taken to our good old pal from the Stubnitz, Danny who put us up in her gorgeous spare room in her squatted flat in the centre of the city… that was the start of a 3 day party stint in what we think is the coolest city in Germany, we fukin love it there!…

Danny introduced us to a seriously cool group of sisters who we cant wait to go back and see again. We honestly felt so connected with this crew and their vibe and fuck this lot know how to party! After hours is their middle name, no jokes. Hamburg Ich lieber dich!

Shindig Feast

September / Somerset / UK

Shindig Feast was glamorous as fuck! We were treated to a 3 course banquet (5 stars for the food n wine) and stayed in the most luxurious bell tent, decked out in old english country style, complete with chester drawers and cut glass. This festival offered ultimate style and leisure in the beautiful somerset countryside. #glamping

After eating and drinking a lil bit too much we played the Naughtilicious Stage with our big bro DJ Stivs on the decks <3. Massive thank you to Fluffee for having us, treating us so well and letting us do an impromptu Jump Up DnB set to end the night.

Illusive Festival

September / Northamptonshire / UK

What a way to finish off our Festival Fever Tour 2017. We have played this festival for the past 5 years and its a fucking beaut. Without a doubt one of our favourite weekends of the year. Illusive celebrates the best in the UK underground music scene.

We played the brand new Clockwork stage early Sunday eve after raving hard since Friday, but still smashed it (obviously). For our set we had Dangermarc on the decks and we played out most of the tracks from our unreleased collab album Resist Against Violent Enterprise. After watching our favourite ska punk band Bored Of Justice, on The Lost Stage, we headed over to the Clockwork to jump on stage and clown around with our big bad bro, the original Klown Kore genius Ed Cox. Most of the weekend me and sis were jammin in the Takeover tent with our main crew…

Big shoutouts to: Amen4Tekno, the legendary Mandidextrous and T Menace till the early hours of Saturday mornin bringing the mega vibes as always. Born On Road’s Stivs and Aires B2B on the Saturday afternoon flex busting out the clangers, Dangermarc Vs C3B for the Erisian Takeover bringing a fresh sound till the early hours of sunday. Then my personal fav set of the weekend the one and only Katch Pyro with mike Wiley on the mic playing the last set on the Clockwork stage. Makes us so proud of our talented crew.

This festy always kills it and this year was no exception! We seriously advise you getting a ticket for Illusive 2018. See you there!
